Cannabis foods

One of the most common and effective way of consuming cannabis is eating the plant itself when a huge amount of THC gets to the blood through digestive system that stipulates really long and strong effects. However, eating the plant or hash, or honey oil is not really tasty. So the problems of that process made people invent some kinds of food that had THC in it so that eating such food would be both pleasant and effective. The real problem is the fact that THC can only be absorbed by either alcohol, or lipids. That's why those are a must when cooking psychoactive food.
The most well-known kind of cannabis food is bakery. Cookies and cakes that are common in regions where cannabis consumption is legal or partially legal like the Netherlands, for instance. They are usually called “magic”, “space”, “happy” or anything like that referring to their effects. Not only marijuana, but also hash is used in them. Their effects are reported to be longer and more subtle. And such bakery can be easily prepared in home conditions – if you know how to make bread, of course.
The fact that THC and other cannabinoids are absorbed by fat gives us a chance to prepare special sorts of psychoactive oil or butter. Oil has to be cooked for a long period of time at a low temperature. After that oil can be added to any products from which cannabis effects are required. Cannabis butter is prepared by heating marijuana with real butter so that THC combines with lipids. This product can be used in further cooking or just smeared on bread and eaten.
Different kinds of alcohol drinks can be cooked with cannabis. That first of all goes for liqueurs, rums and brandies. However, the effects of THC and ethanol may result into an unpredictable combination that may be not as pleasant as it should be. I advise you to avoid cannabis spirits. But for basic knowledge I want to name “crème de gras: - a liqueur made from cannabis.
Some attempts of making cannabis tea seem to be a mere waste of product as THC is not well water soluble. If you want a tea to have good effect, you will need to use much more cannabis than for common smoking or cooking.
Cannabis foods have become a part of cannabis culture. Moreover, they are now a public stereotype or an urban myth. Space cookies are associated with freedom, joy and legacy – they are more common in cannabis-liberal countries. And they are easier and safer to store and transport in not-so-liberal countries. If you don't eat the bakery on the way, it is most likely that it will not raise suspicion in police officers. When they don't have specially trained dogs with them. Anyway, cannabis foods are convenient, easy to prepare and tasty. And their health effects are better that the one of marijuana or hash. Perhaps, they are the ones to be legalized for civil usage? Unfortunately, it's not up to me to decide.
