Do You Control The Weed Or Does It Control You?

Sometimes, when looking at the problem of addiction to anything, it is best to look elsewhere than physical dependence to find the real answer. It is always good to talk to yourself honestly and without guilt, blame or shame, or any of those psychotic influences.

It always important to dissociate from the ones around you who are doing what it was that you were addicted to, in this case marijuana. There have been a number of new studies on cannabis, marijuana, pot, weed, or whatever you want to call it, and this material argues that addiction to hash can now be proven due to the number of people who are in rehab.

What these people are saying is cause for some concern, and possibly, alarm.
For a while, people studying marijuana and its effects couldn’t understand why there was such an increase in people going to rehab for what used to be considered a recreational drug that had no harmful side effects. However, after interviewing many of the ones who got off of it, it was discovered that it was the actual plant itself, or more accurately what that plant had become.

It was learned that with marijuana, the desire for a greater hit, or buzz, was the driving force behind growing plants that had a greater potency, at least that was what researchers found at first. Then, as when prohibition was the law of the land, gangs ran the distribution of the drug, and did everything to increase profit and decrease quality of product.

Marijuana was being cut with substances that were habit forming so that the user would keep coming back for more, over and over. It is this kind of addiction that is being recognized and treated now. It is also the argument being used for legalizing marijuana so that there is, at least a standardized regulation of its quality under government supervision.

Regardless of what the controversy is, it is now, more apparent that marijuana users are becoming addicted where they weren’t before, and it has become a concern for researchers and medical professionals alike.

The way to first stop using is to disconnect from the ones around you who are using, and by never telling them you are quitting, you just say that you are taking a break, and you eventually withdraw from their influence. Then, if you decide to go into rehab, you will find that the withdrawal from marijuana isn’t nearly as bad as it is in the case of the nicotine from tobacco.

So, remember to be a friend to yourself when you are going to change your lifestyle when it comes to marijuana or any other substance you may feel you are addicted to. It is important that you don’t “implode” on yourself, and, if you do check in to rehab, there is no shame, blame, or guilt, only a new life, and a new beginning!
