420 - Marijuana slang. It is a symbol of cannabis and its culture. It can refer to marijuana events on April 20th and the time 4:20 pm. There are several ideas about where 420 comes from. One is that 420 was a police code that announces marijuana use is taking place. Another story is that it was the time some friends met up after school in the 1970s to smoke marijuana.
Bhang - is preparation from the leaves and seeds of the cannabis plant consumed in India either as a drink or smoked.
Blast a joint - to smoke marijuana
Blaze – to smoke marijuana
Blunt - A joint rolled in tobacco-leaf wrapper of a cigar.
Bong - Can also be called a water pipe. It is a device used to smoke cannabis.
Brick - a compressed block of marijuana, usually a kilogram in weight, although sometimes slightly less
Buzz – the first feelings a user gets after using marijuana, usually a tingly feeling or light headed.
Burn one - to smoke marijuana.
Cannabis – the plant from which the drug is derived.
Crutch – something that is used to hold a burned down joint, often a folded matchbook. It is to stop the smokers' fingers from being burned.
Doobie - marijuana joint
Dope – another word for marijuana.
Ganja – sanskrit or hindu word for marijuana.
Grass - another word for marijuana
Hash/Hashish - Hashish is a solid substance made from cannabis and is of varying hardness. It softens under heat. Smokers use a lighter / flame to crumble the amount they wish to use. Its color is usually light to dark brown, but can be green, black or reddish brown.
Hashish oil – Hashish is dissolved in a solvent and any remaining solid material is removed from the liquid. The solvent is then left to evaporate and what is left is the oil, a concentrated form of cannabis.
Hemp – The part of the cannabis plant that is used to make rope, paper and so on, as well as other industrial uses.
Hit - To take a drag off a marijuana joint.
Joint – A cigarette made with rolling papers inside of which is a mixture of tobacco and cannabis or just grass.
Key, ki - a kilogram of marijuana (or sometimes hashish)
Marijuana - cannabis
Mary – marijuana
Pot - another word for marijuana
Reefer – another word for a joint.
Resin - resin builds up inside items that marijuana is smoked with. It is like tar but still contains THC. Resin is harsher and less healthy on the lungs.
Roach – used at the emd of a joint to prevent tobacco or grass being sucked into the mouth. Usually a rolled up piece of cardboard from the rolling papers.
Skins – another word for rolling papers.
Solid – another word for hash or hashish.
Splif - A cigarette made with rolling papers inside of which is a mixture of tobacco and cannabis or just grass.
Stoned - to be very high.
THC - Tetrahydrocannabinol is the main psychoactive substance found in Cannabis i.e. The chemical that gets users high.
Toke - a puff of a joint.
Toke pipe - a small pipe used especially for smoking marijuana.
Wasted - heavily stoned
Weed - another word for marijuana
