The natural industry is increasingly using hemp as a primal material, including the oil produced with the seeds. The hemp seed oil has beneficial proprieties for the beauty and the health of the body, in addition, the fabrication of products from the cultivation of cannabis presents advantages from the ecologic point of view. With the seeds of hemp are produced many cosmetics and culinary products.

The problem of the popularization of this utilization is the prohibition of the cultivation and the consummation of marihuana in many parts of the world. The multiples substances that this plant can offer as material of many branches of the industry have revealed the preoccupation to the interests of the American industrial monopole after the thirties, when started a xenophobic campaign of criminalization of plantation, consummation and the simple existence of hemp, promoted by the industry of oil.

During the last decades, the juridical and scientific innovations, with the development of bio-sciences and the discussion about the resources that cannabis sativa can offer, besides its hallucinogen proprieties, are going back to the discussions of the possibilities of correct ecological and political production that this plant can offer us. The quality of the product is assured by a characteristic of hemp itself: the plant does not have any resistance to the application of chemical products like herbicides or pesticides; which means that the product of cannabis is perfect from the perspective of nature.

The hemp seeds does not have the psycho active cannabinoid, the THC; they present the ideal dermatological proprieties for the fabrication of cosmetics and for the regeneration of the skin and hairs with a natural material. Its culinary consummation is also popularized in the European countries; it is very light for the digestion and has many proprieties. The production of seeds is utilized in monoecious cultivation based on the reproduction of the individuals that presents characteristics more appropriated for this kind of production. The oil must be extracted from the seeds in cold weather, because the high temperatures can damage the proprieties of the oil.

Recently it has been approved by the department of California, United States, a project of law that allow the farmers to produce oil and fiber from hemp. The cultivation is still prohibited by the federal law, but the constitution does not prohibit the importation of the necessary material for the production. In the same country, recently (July/2009) it has been launched in the market a marihuana bonbon. It is true that the sweet is made with hemp seed oil, very nutritive and without any psycho active propriety. They expect that this project is going to bring many profits to the State of California.

Despite all, there is much resistance by the conservators, the ones that do not want to have their names associated to this plant, even if they are genetically modified. The project adversaries, as well as the existence of this plant, according to the discourse, follow basing their intransigence in the difficulty of distinguishing a plant that has the substances; when the cultivators insist that even a child can do the distinction between the specimens.
