Herb Grinder

If you are fond of cooking some food from cannabis, you will soon face the difficulty of constant grinding large pieces of marijuana into smaller ones. That is, of course, if you do not put large leaves of pot right into the bakery. You can grind then with your hands or use scissors, but anyway it will be a large, dull and not productive piece of work. There is a device that may help you in doing this. It is called a herb grinder.
It's purpose is actual grinding dry plants into smaller particles that can be use both in cookery, and in smoking or vaporizing. As we all know, the smaller the particles are, the better goes vaporization process. The grinder usually consists of two halves, each with teeth in it. Some more advanced devices allow to collect the fines particles such as pollen into separate place so they do not mix with larger parts. Another name for those things is “pollenator”. That makes grinder even more useful for cannabis making as pollen of marijuana usually consists really much hash in it. And as we all know, hash has much stronger effects than common pot. So that mixed pollen could be used for smoking as well and the amount necessary would be lower.
Herb grinders are really easy to use. You just put marijuana into two parts, assemble them together and start moving them into opposite directions. The teeth within the device actually grind the product. What is nice is that you can select the size of the particles yourself. If you grind cannabis for longer time, the particles will become smaller. But one can still be bigger than the other one.
One important thing is actual buying the grinder or pollenator. Be sure to get one from good aluminum. Wooden devices or things from cheap metal do not last for too long. If you want to be the best in everything, get a grinder from aircraft aluminum. It's practically unbreakable during normal usage, but it's several times more expensive. And I am not sure you will need such quality. Getting a guarantee for the pollenator is also a nice idea. The size of the holes of the grinder also matters. For basic needs 3 mm holes will do just fine. The particles will be appropriate for everything, from cooking to making joints. But if you are a novice in rolling the joints, you may have holes of bigger size. Larger particles are easier to deal with, you are less likely to drop marijuana and lose some product.
And some small tips for the novice grinder users. First of all, grind just marijuana in one device. You do not want your joint taste like herbs or spices, do you? Know your force – if you cannot cut weed with knife, you are the least likely to be able to grind it.
I hope that my article was useful enough. And for your confidence – grinder makers haven't payed me a dime!
