The effect of using marijuana depends on the person’s experience. Some people feel no effects at in using marijuana once they use to it. Others may feel relaxed, high and even more active. Sometimes it makes the user feel very hungry and thirsty. Others may suffer from anxiety and became so paranoid. This is more likely to happen when too much marijuana is taken. If a person is high on marijuana, she or she may tend to suffer from dizziness and have trouble walking. He/ She seems so unpredictable, silly and easily irritated for even small matter. They may have bloodshot and once the effects faded, they tend to be very sleepy for hours.

 

The short-term side effects of marijuana include the problems with memory and learning. They have a hard time remembering about the things that just happened. Distorted perception in senses and having trouble in thinking as well as in problem solving. It also results to loss of coordination and increase anxiety, fear, distrust or panic. Greater effects can occur eventually when other drugs are mixed with marijuana, most especially strong drugs without knowing or reading its content.

The long-term side effects from medical findings include the risk for cancer, lungs and airways infection, heart and brain damage as well poor immune system response. It is hard to determine whether the use of marijuana can really cause cancer. However, it is known that marijuana has cancer-causing chemicals found in tobacco smoke. Studies found out that smoking marijuana more often per week maybe taking cancer-causing chemicals akin to some who smokes a full pack of cigarettes as daily consumption.

People who are smoking marijuana even infrequently may develop into a serious lungs and airways problem. It contains more carcinogenic hydrocarbons than tobacco smoke. Because they tend to inhale deeper and hold the smoke in their lungs longer they may suffer from difficulty in breathing, daily cough and phlegm production. They usually tend to have more than chest colds than nonusers. They are also in increase risk to acquire pneumonia.

Delta-9 Tetrahydrocannobinol is the active ingredient of marijuana that influences the activity of brain receptors and nerve cells. When high dosage of marijuana is sued, users may experience symptoms of hallucinations, delusions, impaired memory and disorientation.

After a few minutes of using marijuana, the heart beats increase more rapidly than normal and the blood pressure drops. It may increase up to 20-50 beats per minute and can increase more when other drugs are being used. Due to abnormal blood pressure and heart rate, researches found out it increase the risk for heart attack.

Marijuana impairs the body’s immune system from fighting disease which can result to a variety of health problem. It inhibited the disease-preventing actions of key immune cells and it also increase the risk of bacterial infections and tumor.
