Is Cannabis Only Good When People Want It To Be?

Everyone has to admit that for the most part we humans are creative and innovative. It would seem that is a very applicable statement when it comes to finding legal uses for certain derivatives. One only has to surf the web to see all of the different uses that hemp has been put to. I am not just referring to industrial hemp. There is a lot of gorgeous jewelry being made from hemp. Much of it has not hit the open market granted. The biggest reason being that growing hemp is illegal in many countries.
There are many anti cannabis individuals who have admired the beauty of some well-made hemp jewelry. They do so innocently not realizing that it is a derivative of cannabis. Now if there were names attached to such as weed jewelry or marijuana jewelry it wouldn’t matter how beautiful the piece was and even if it were made from hemp, it would be totally unacceptable.
Although growing hemp is illegal in many countries within the United States, you can purchase hemp that is commercial hemp. This fiber that is used in the jewelry making.
It makes one wonder that if individuals who are fond of purchasing items from renowned fashion designers would do so if they knew that (a) some of their accessories are made from hemp and (b) hemp is a derivate of cannabis. Then again, it doesn’t seem that those that are anti-cannabis even refer to the substance by its proper name, just as the recreational users don’t.
It will be referred to as pot, hash, dope, weed, or grass just to name a few of the common names. It would seems that for many non cannabis users that these are words of distaste. The same goes for the paraphernalia that goes with cannabis. Items such as bongs, roaches, bubble bags and even rolling papers are considered tools of a criminal act.
It would almost seem that the stigma that is attached to cannabis is a biased approach. It’s ok in some circumstances but not in others. Perhaps the argument could be made that hemp is harmless but cannabis is not. This comes down once again to a matter of opinion and which side s making the statements the pros or the cons.
It would seem fair if all judgments were reserved until all the facts were in. Not only applying this concept to medicinal uses for marijuana but for recreational use as well. It’s ironic that the industrial/commercial use of hemp was more widely accepted at a much quicker rate before it seemed that all the facts were in.
It is not the intention of this article to diffuse the great purposes of hemp, it’s merely to point out that cannabis has some excellent quality and uses and perhaps using for recreational purposes is not all that bad.
