There was a time when things were different. Centuries ago, when man learned the usage of things, he wanted to do more. The wants and desires of human beings are insatiable and their craving for things came to them in an inevitable way. Society plays a vital role in man’s behavior, including ethics, traditional values, cultural values, etc. The usage of marijuana in ancient times was entirely different than compared to the usage of present day. As time went by, things have changed drastically by taking countless unknown twists and turns. The society has changed the minds and mentalities of men have changed in a sweeping way.

Usage of marijuana and its effect in ancient times:

We don't know when Cannabis and humankind first met. Given the expansion habit of the plant and the snooping of humanity, such a meeting was predictable. In the plant world, Cannabis is a colonist. It institutes new territory when running water or seed-eating animals carry seed to cleared and fertile soil open to the sun. Lush soil, clear of competing plants, is rare and short-lived in nature, and is commonly caused by catastrophe such as flood or earth slide. Natural dissemination is slow and the plants tend to grow in thick stands by dropping seed about the spread of their branches.

In ancient times, things were different as people were in learning stage. However, even today, people are learning and the process of learning is never ending. It is with man as long as he is alive, and as long as the world exists. Marijuana plants exist in world since many centuries. In earlier times, as early as 600 BC, marijuana plants were in abundance in the central part of the world, and also in Africa, Asia, and other continents. People used marijuana in many ways, which includes magical rituals, scientific ways, in sexual practices, to influence other’s mind with various ways (or rather in various ways), etc. According to ancient laws, usage or the consumption of marijuana was not illegal. Many kings and emperors, people from royal blood consumed marijuana, cannabis, hash, stuff, grass, cocaine or coke, etc. The pleasure was considered as sacred in many regions and in many kingdoms. However, some countries had different rules and regulations. Usage of marijuana in some countries was forbidden and whoever did use, faced many dire consequences, and was unable to escape.

Usage of marijuana and its effects in modern times:

Today, the world has changed and the thinking of people also has changed. New laws emerged and the usage and the consumption of marijuana have been declared illegal in almost all the countries. The reason? Well, a person loses himself when he is under the influence of marijuana and forgets what he is up to. In other words, intake of marijuana gives more impact than the alcohol. The side effects of marijuana are greater than of alcohol’s. However, this is one of the reasons. Today, many people use marijuana in obscurity, away from society.
