Cannabis has been demonized for many decades now, one study saying that it’s habit forming, and another saying it isn’t. One study says it leads to harder drugs and another says no, but pro or con, cannabis has been around for centuries being cultivated, and used in many different ways that could go on and on forever.
Chinese scientists have found a 2,800 year old mummy, and, as they were exploring they discovered a bundle if marijuana leaves beside it. Cannabis or marijuana has been around for a long time and will be around for a much longer time, no matter what the popular hype is.
There is a great concern lately for the cannabis user, because of the street situation, where cannabis is now being cut with all kinds of foreign substances including now, ground glass to make it look more appealing to the eye. It is precisely the fact that marijuana has been demonized that makes the underground flourish, in the same way that alcohol was banned by the Volstead act, and during prohibition, the illegal alcohol trade thrived and organized crime got rich.

This kind of maneuver was tried a long time ago with the release of really bad propaganda films like Reefer Madness, where just one puff turns people into raving psychotics, capable of the most grizzly things under the influence of cannabis, things they don’t even remember doing. Police reports say that the users of cannabis are very subdued and not prone to violence like people who are on much harder drugs.
The controversy about cannabis will rage on for a long time until someone has the intelligence to stop using fear as a motivator. Governments don’t like a public who is not under their control, but they go about it in such totalitarian ways that it is almost comical, the sign of a desperate body who is out of touch with its people.
If people want to use cannabis they will find a way, and this opinion has been heard before, and it will for a long time through many others, but the important thing to ask is – “Is anybody listening”??
