TYPES OF CANNABIS AND HOW IT REPRODUCES
2009.04.02
When it comes to the use and recreational advantages that cannabis offers most users are content with the street level terminology. For those who look upon it from a professional level such as the scientists a completely new terminology surfaces. Most of this would be unrecognizable by the average user. Then there is the cultivators who too have their own terminology which seems to fit somewhere in the middle of the user and the scientists.
Being as the terminology scientists use is far too complicated it is easier to begin with reference to the mid terms of cannabis. On the street level, the common terms of hash, pot, weed or marijuana are terms that both users and most non-users are familiar with.
The most common pot would be what is formerly known as Sativa. It is a tall-branched plant and is best grown in the warm lowland regions. Another variety is the Indica, which prefers cooler climate growing and is a shorter bushier plant. Then finally, there are the marijuana plants called ruderalis, which are the short plants, found growing freely in Europe and central Asia. For the avid pot user, the thought of this plant just growing on its own is a very enticing concept.
On the street if, the supplier refers to the weed being the best there is he most likely is referring to the pure indica, then in the mid range would be a mix of the indica/sativa and then down to the bottom and the most commonly use being the pure sativa.
Some pot users have jumped at the thought of heading to Kansas or Nebraska in search of the wild cannabis that grows freely known as wild cannabis. It’s a great thought until they find out it contains very little THC so really does nothing for the marijuana users.
Anyone that uses cannabis or hash will tell you that it’s not just the cost of the substance they have to consider. It’s the variety of items that go with it such as the pipes, papers, bongs and even herb grinders. What you need depends on the form your cannabis is in. Hash bags for extraction are becoming more common and being considered a needed item for the ultimate in enjoyment of pot.
Many pot users will attempt to grow one or two plants of their own for personal use although any amount of growing or use is considered illegal. Newcomers to the world of hash often have difficulty growing because they don’t have a clue of how the cannabis is cultivated. As they become more experienced, they begin to learn that there are male and female cannabis plants and both have a distinct purpose when it comes to the cultivation of weed.
It seems that every marijuana user has their own preferences. This is most likely because each person derives their own level of satisfaction from the cannabis and if they have a strain that they feel does what they want then why look for something else?
