Smoking cigarettes, taking drugs like hash and marijuana by smoking, eating and intravenous drugs have become more of a common place today. But my question is that are they the only means to feel high and feel light? I just came to know something that really shocked me and I thought I would share it with you all.

 

Marijuana cigarette or joint is made from the dried particles of the Cannabis Sativa plant. Hash also got from the same plant is more concentrated than marijuana. Hash is smoked in pipes or rolled into cigarettes. It is much potent than crude marijuana.

 

I would like you to look at the long term harm of using marijuana or hash to feel real good. It causes cell abnormalities, affect genetic makeup of new cells , increase chance of viral infection and decrease immunity in the person. It could lead to impaired speech, difficulty in comprehending complex ideas, loss of memory, irregular sleep patterns and mood swings. Besides there could be a lack of body coordination, decreased muscle strength and blurred or impaired vision.

You could develop acute sinusitis, bronchitis and lung cancer. It could lead to high blood pressure and rapid heart beat with poisoning of your blood by carbon-mono-oxide. Chest pains, angina and diabetes cannot be overlooked.

Hash and marijuana can block your feelings, but when you take marijuana or hash regularly you get used to it and will feel difficult to live without it. You will also require more doses to have the same effect as time goes on. Besides, chronic users lose interest in life and lose the capability to handle challenges in life. It is also to be noted that as the dependency increases, it could lead to acute panic anxiety reactions, which may be difficult to bear and get over without it.

Do you still feel a person addicted to these drugs or wanting to use them should do so? Not at all even if you have a lot of problems and stress, I would suggest you take recourse to natural methods to get better, Create a positive attitude in life and believe you have the ability to tackle all problems. This may be very difficult for you to accept at first, however with practice I can tell you it will definitely work and help you. Give yourself positive affirmations every morning on rising and whenever you feel depressed. Believe in God and thank him for all the good things that have happened to you. These thoughts help you feel better.

Create a good balance in life by doing things you love to do –hearing music, doing exercises like yoga and meditation would help to relax. Try to spend time with your family and trustworthy friends and tell them your problems. Create hobbies that make you feel good. Writing, painting or some handwork you like would do good. Try to cultivate a habit of going out for a morning walk that would refresh you and make you feel good.

To conclude, it is all up to a person to take a determination to give up harmful habits like taking hash and marijuana.
